Release of Search Facilities on filing status of Balance Sheets and

Annual Returns on Department of Company Affairs Website

            Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon'ble Minister of Law, Justice & Company Affairs had, on 4^th April, 2001, released following Search Facilities on Department of Company Affairs website () for the benefit of the public:

 

 

(a)       Company Directory:  This facilitates search on companies (over 5.8 lacs) registered at the offices of the Registrar of Companies (ROCs).  Search provides filtering on category of the company and State where company is registered. Result of the search is displayed as registration number, state of registration and name of the company.

 

(b)              Names Approved for Registration: This facilitates search on the names approved by ROCs and are in pipeline for registration of the company.

  

(c)               ROC Fee Computation: This facilitates computation of fee charged for various services such as name approval, incorporation of new company, filing of statutory documents, etc., rendered by ROCs.

 

(d)              ROC Forms: This facilitates downloading of important forms prescribed in the Companies Act, which are required for applications to be submitted to ROCs.

 

(e)      Status of Investors' Grievances: This facility provides latest status in respect of an investor complaint registered with the department.

 

 

Pursuing its endeavour to promote dissemination of corporate information available with the offices of the Registrars of Companies, the Department of Company Affairs (DCA), jointly with National Informatics Centre, has since developed following Search Facility for release on its website. 

 

 

Filing Status of Balance Sheets & Annual Returns

 

This search is intended to provide information to the public on availability of a particular Balance Sheet or Annual Return with the respective Registrar of Companies (ROC).  The inconvenience of going to the ROC office for inspection of a document which is not available in that office can be avoided in case the Balance Sheet or Annual Return is not   shown as having been filed.  Also this search will facilitate public to know compliance with the provisions of the Companies Act regarding mandatory filing of Balance Sheets and Annual Returns every year by the registered companies at respective ROC offices. 

 

The Search Facility on Filing Status of Balance Sheets & Annual Returns was released on the DCA website by Shri Vinod Dhall, Secretary, Department of Company Affairs today (14^th March, 2002).
