Check Company Names service helps you to find whether a company exists with a particular name.
Click on Check Company Names under the Other Services tab on the left side of the home page of MCA portal.
The search criteria are displayed in a new screen. MCA portal enables you to search by entering partial names. However you will have to specify whether the name entered Is, Starts with, Ends with, Contains anywhere.
Ends with – Use this option when you know only the ending characters in the name of the company
Is – Use this option when you know the full name of the company
Starts with – Use this option when you know only the starting characters in the name of the company
Contains anywhere – Use this option when the characters are present in between the name of the company.
Click on the Search button. A new screen opens giving the list of company names that matches with search criteria. You can return back to redo the search by clicking on the Back button. In case there are more than specified numbers of companies meeting search criteria, you can view them by clicking on Next link. To move back to the previous screen, click on the Previous link.
